Bear on Ice

Synopsis

BEAR ON ICE shows a summer day in the life of nine-year-old Pippa. She and her dad live in a trailer on a big gravel pit. Each morning, Pippa tunes into the police radio, hoping to catch any lead on her missing dog, Pepper. She’s convinced Pepper has fallen victim to a crime. With determination, persistence, and a

stack of missing dog reports, she sets out to save her fluffy companion. This marks the beginning of an absurd quest, during which Pippa encounters the eccentric residents of her neighborhood.

Statement

BEAR ON ICE is a joyful escape back to the ’90s, where life felt a bit simpler and laughter came easy. Inspired by my own nostalgia for a time that felt less guarded, this film serves as a burst of hope in a sometimes too serious world. We were lucky to capture the perfect sun-drenched backdrop that further ignited Pippa’s vibrant adventure, beautifully brought to life by the remarkable Zoe Trommler. At its core, this film invites you to rediscover the joy of your inner child, urging you to embrace Pippa’s light-hearted spirit and find laughter and joy in the unexpected encounters she has. Simply put, we hope to offer viewers a good time, filled with laughter and a dash of nostalgia.
